For a recent job in Milford, we installed a new Velocity oil boiler set up for three heating zones and tied it into the home’s existing indirect water heater. We updated the piping and zone heads, which are the valves that direct heat to each part of the house, then purged all four zones to clear the air out of the lines so heat actually reaches every room evenly.
We tested each zone one at a time to confirm it was heating properly, updated the venting into the chimney liner, and vacuumed out the built-up soot while we were in there, since a clean flue helps the boiler run safely and efficiently. The homeowner ends up with a clean, dialed-in setup ready for the coldest stretch of the year.
