In Medway, we installed a new Bradford White wall-hung boiler, updated the venting, and ran fresh condensate piping so the new setup drains and vents the way it should. We reconnected the home’s existing indirect water heater and added an automatic shutoff plus a water heater pan, which catches any water and shuts things down before a small leak turns into a mess on the floor.
While we were testing, we noticed the indirect water heater was taking longer than it should to heat up. The cause was scale buildup on the coil, which is common in areas with harder water and slowly chokes off how well the unit can transfer heat. We walked the homeowner through their options, whether that meant replacing the indirect unit or descaling the existing coil, so they could decide what made the most sense for their home and budget.
